Frequently Asked Questions

Democratic Parties across the country at the local, state and national levels all have membership programs to connect the party with its voters and fund grassroots organizing to support Democratic candidates.

Why a membership program?

By becoming a member of the Davidson County Democratic Party (DCDP), you’re investing in the continued growth of our organization. As we move toward a membership-based income model, your support will strengthen our financial stability and allow us to have a greater impact organizing in the community.

How does this benefit the party?

Why give to the Davidson County Democratic Party?

The Davidson County Democratic Party broke records last year and won hard fought victories in our target districts. Our top priority is providing local, state and federal Democratic candidates with the resources and infrastructure necessary to win their races. To learn more about what we accomplished, read our 2024 annual report.

Contributions to the Davidson County Democratic Party are received in a general fund and dispersed by a majority vote of the executive committee which serves as the governing body of the DCDP.

What will my contributions be used for?

When will my membership expire?

By checking “Make this recurring contribution monthly until I contact you” your membership will last continuously without worrying about an annual renewal.

We’re sorry to see you go and appreciate your time as a member! If you would like to cancel you can email us at info@davidsondemocrats.org.

How can I cancel my membership?

If I live in a different county or state, can I still be a member?

Yes! Any out-of-county or out-of-state resident who purchases a DCDP membership is fully eligible for all of the membership perks.
